Gas Safe RegisterTM is the registration body appointed by the Health and Safety Executive to run the gas registration scheme in Great Britain and the Isle of Man. It is a legal requirement for anyone carrying out domestic and commercial gas work to be registered and comply with the Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998.
The organisation aims to protect people from dangerous gas work by making sure that engineers on the register are safe to work with gas, telling them about changes to standards and regulations and inspecting the gas work they carry out.
Gas Safe RegisterTM promotes using registered gas engineers and works to raise awareness of gas safety risks and the dangers associated with using illegal gas installers.
